Muramatsu M180 now the GX Flute

This flute plays with a lovely pure clean voice from low to high. It has ample volume and projection, and moves up and down the scale.

It has nice tight even key action, and is a smaller size tube (not the new HUGE tubes of today), with a Japanese mid wall .015 wall thickness. Thus, it plays nice, enables a lovely flow and allows you to hit notes in tune, and enjoy playing.

This flute has been overhauled from top to bottom with all new pads/corks/felts.

Features:
Solid Silver Muramatsu cut head joint
Solid Silver Body and C foot joint
Closed holes
Offset G
Nickel Silver Keys and Mechanisms
French Case (non Muramatsu)
Cleaning Rod
Japanese mid wall .015
A = 440 hz pitch

This flute is very durable, and feels substantial in your hands. It is not bulky, however is so well made it will never wear out.

It has a lovely voice, even key action, and sturdy feel or grip.

It does need air, and some wind stream focus however is not overly difficult to play as are some of the newer heavier wall Muramastu flutes. The embouchure cut is semi oval with more of a square design, providing a rich full rounded tone.

Today's price new would be about $5500. For US customers, this would be a custom order.

Condition
Pre owned. Mint (not new) per NFA standards. No work needed (our tech will go through the flute in detail before we ship).

This flute is clean, and is ready for a player. The pads are not brand new however are very clean, seal well and do not need changing.
