This is a stunning 14kt Rose Gold Flute, Rose Gold over solid sterling silver. It shows no wear or use. This flute while new (never owned), may have been played a few times, and is what you would find at full price retail dealers.

This flute has a very warm timbre with a combination of Powell Signature head joint and gold, and moves fluidly from low to high. The color and tonal palate remains steady and even throughout, and at all dynamics range. The 10kt gold white springs enable a very fast soft touch to the keys and mechanisms.
This flute will make its new owner very happy. Most suitable for an advancing flutists with at 2 to 3 yrs of practice under their belt, or adult amature.

Flutists agree that the most important features of a flute are the headjoint and the scale. The headjoint must be responsive and flexible; the scale must be accurate and well-balanced from the top of the register to the bottom. Every Sonare flute is shipped with a Verne Q. Powell Flute Signature headjoint made completely of sterling silver. These headjoints are made at the Powell shop by the same headjoint makers who create the same headjoints for Powell's Handmade Custom flutes.

Powell Flutes have been made in the Boston area since 1927 and have always been known for "The Powell Sound" which, in large part, comes from the headjoints made by the incredibly skilled headjoint makers at the shop. the Powell headjoint and scale assure that Sonare flutes bear a strong resemblance to Powell Flutes.


HOW IT PLAYS
The Powell Signature head joint is a free blowing head joint that enables the flutist to achieve a full lovely gorgeous tone from low to high.
The head joint with Sterling and Rose Gold finishing adds such warmth to your tone, while maintaining a rich full volume and ample projection.
This flute moves through the octaves with ease and grace, while maintain its rich voice.
